With several successful meets behind him, there’s a growing feeling of confidence that his search could actually work. But now that the novelty’s worn off, finding the motivation to keep going is about to become harder.
David finds himself trying to juggle meeting new men and providing a shoulder to cry on his to battered and pregnant friends. And, with a plethora of hotties vying for his attention, things are about to get more complicated.
Seeing DOUBLE is a 13,000K SHORT STORY, or about 37 pages.
Release date: February 10th, 2014
Why not check out the other books already available in the series ? I can vouch for their hotness, you can check out my review for ‘The Man Plan’ here
And what about Algenon himself ?
A. Lusch lives in London and has been though much of the same path as David – in fact – this series is based around true events.
Of course, there is MUCH more to come in the tale, but, don’t worry, now the scene is set, there’ll be many more dates per book. Is there a happy ending in sight? You’ll have to keep reading to find out.
A. Lusch fully believes in never settling, always striving for the perfect match, and never giving up on your man once you’ve found him – oh, and eating A LOT of donuts!
My review of Seeing Double
I’m really enjoying the 52 First Dates series by Algenon Lusch. Seeing Double is the third short, sexy read about David’s journey through ‘Manland’ to find the perfect mate. I like the fact that the author is able to take the reader on his own personal sexploits rollercoaster ride with a sense of irreverence and glee that makes me snigger and giggle. The opening scene of the book is hot, dirty and sexy and a realistic account of what sex is all about between two blokes. Because it’s written by a gay man whose been there and done that. So how much more real can it get? It’s refreshing to see how David thinks about sex, how he goes about choosing the type he like- as he definitely has a type – dark, tight and tanned, preferably short if they’re Asian and tall if they’re Latino, with names like Prana, Karim and Rav. This man knows what he likes and he goes after it with gusto.
It’s a light hearted romp of male sexuality, of London life and watching TV shows like Skins and Greys Anatomy. The secondary characters like Jess, David’s best girlfriend, is well rounded, funny and a great foil to David’s personality. I like the flow of the writing, the easy going banter between friends that makes you feel as if this is indeed ‘real life’. I like David’s frank assessment of himself as gay, a bottom and that versatile doesn’t work for him, no matter how hard he tries. And toilet stalls are obviously made for more than taking a whizz in his opinion.
And of course when David meets the Greek twins Theo and Alex, then he has some choices to make. I mean one gorgeous hottie is a treat but two? It’s a sexual Smorgasbord of duel delights. Poor David has to keep his wits about him to keep up with this pair…or should that be a double pair ?
I’m really looking forward to reading more in this series and finding out if David gets his man…and if that conjures up pictures of Male Mounties, then I think my job here is done. Even if I’m not referring to the Canadian sort 🙂
